Our Safeguarding Commitment

The National Aquatic Training Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners, including children and vulnerable adults. All staff and instructors are required to complete up-to-date safeguarding training and hold a valid Enhanced DBS Check before delivering any training.

Enhanced DBS Checks

  • All instructors hold an Enhanced DBS certificate with barred list check where applicable.
  • DBS certificates are independently verified by the centre.
  • Expiry and update service status is monitored by NATC management.
  • Any concerns are acted upon immediately in line with our safeguarding policy.

Reporting a Concern

If you have a safeguarding concern regarding any NATC activity, training session, or member of staff, please contact us immediately. We take all concerns seriously and will respond promptly and in line with local authority safeguarding procedures.

Safer Recruitment

  • All staff and instructors are subject to safer recruitment checks.
  • Right to work in the UK verified for all personnel.
  • Two professional references required for all appointments.
  • Induction includes safeguarding training on day one.

Report a Safeguarding Concern

If you have an immediate concern about the safety of a child or vulnerable adult, please contact the relevant authorities first, then notify NATC.
